Tours of the Markets

Interested foodies, educational groups, international visitors, study groups and those involved in the fresh produce, floristry or food industries are invited to take a guided tour through the lively atmosphere of Australia's largest fresh fruit, vegetables and flower markets.

For people who have never visited the Sydney Markets, deciding where to start can seem a little daunting, so taking a tour with trained guides from Thomson Street, make navigating through the early morning hustle and bustle of market trade safe and easy. The guides know how the markets work, they know their fresh produce, and they know the market people. They provide a real taste of market life.

Tours can be tailored for general and special interest groups and individuals; students and educators in the fields of commerce, food service, food technology, floristry, agriculture, geography and economics; international visitors; and people involved in the horticultural or food industries.
